Every person we encounter has something to teach and something to learn.

As the middle child of three, I learned at a very young age that wisdom flows in all directions. Sometimes it passes from older siblings to younger ones. Other times, the roles reverse. Each of us, at different moments, is both student and teacher. That simple truth has served as a guiding star throughout my life.

Over time, I discovered that knowledge, experience, and opportunity are not diminished when shared. They are amplified. Instead of starting at square one, we begin from a totally different spot, embracing where someone else left off, creating possibilities that neither could have achieved alone.

Whether through volunteering, community involvement, or simply making connections, I have always found joy in helping others discover opportunities they may not yet see in themselves. Equally important has been my willingness to learn from the experiences, insights, and perspectives of others. Growth is rarely a one-way exchange.

Along the way, I have gathered countless pearls of wisdom from teachers, mentors, colleagues, friends, family members, and even complete strangers. Some were lessons in leadership. Others were lessons in humility, courage, resilience, or kindness. Each added a new perspective, a new possibility, and a deeper appreciation for the power of shared learning.
