<image:caption>Economic growth must be inclusive to provide sustainable jobs and promote equality. More than 700 million people, or 10 per cent of the world population, still live in extreme poverty today, struggling to fulfil the most basic needs like health, education, and access to water and sanitation, to name a few. The majority of people living on less than $1.90 a day live in sub-Saharan Africa. Worldwide, the poverty rate in rural areas is 17.2 per cent—more than three times higher than in urban areas… Primary Goal: By 2030, eradicate extreme poverty for all people everywhere, currently measured as people living on less than $1.25 a day. <image:caption>Gender equality is not only a fundamental human right, but a necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world. Gender equality is not only a fundamental human right, but a necessary foundation for a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable world. There has been progress over the last decades: More girls are going to school, fewer girls are forced into early marriage, more women are serving in parliament and positions of leadership, and laws are being reformed to advance gender equality. Despite these gains, many challenges remain: discriminatory laws and social norms remain pervasive, women continue to be underrepresented at all levels of political leadership, and 1 in 5 women and girls between the ages of 15 and 49 report experiencing physical or sexual violence by an intimate partner within a 12-month period. Primary Goal: End all forms of discrimination against all women and girls everywhere and eliminate all forms of violence against all women and girls in the public and private spheres, including trafficking and sexual and other types of exploitation Website: UN Goal #5: Gender Equality To all Members, Friends and Sponsors, please feel free to submit current efforts you are pursuing in this area, so that we may highlight your efforts, and assist in helping you achieve even greater results by Bringing together passionate people, resources and opportunities to build better tomorrows.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Clean, accessible water for all is an essential part of the world we want to live in. While substantial progress has been made in increasing access to clean drinking water and sanitation, billions of people—mostly in rural areas—still lack these basic services. Worldwide, one in three people do not have access to safe drinking water, two out of five people do not have a basic hand-washing facility with soap and water, and more than 673 million people still practice open defecation. The COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated the critical importance of sanitation, hygiene and adequate access to clean water for preventing and containing diseases. Hand hygiene saves lives. According to the World Health Organization, handwashing is one of the most effective actions you can take to reduce the spread of pathogens and prevent infections, including the COVID-19 virus. Yet billions of people still lack safe water sanitation, and funding is inadequate. Primary Goal: By 2030, achieve universal and equitable access to safe and affordable drinking water for all Website: UN Goal #6: Clean Water and Sanitation To all Members, Friends and Sponsors, please feel free to submit current efforts you are pursuing in this area, so that we may highlight your efforts, and assist in helping you achieve even greater results by Bringing together passionate people, resources and opportunities to build better tomorrows.</image:caption>

The world is making progress towards Goal 7, with encouraging signs that energy is becoming more sustainable and widely available. Access to electricity in poorer countries has begun to accelerate, energy efficiency continues to improve, and renewable energy is making impressive gains in the electricity sector. Nevertheless, more focused attention is needed to improve access to clean and safe cooking fuels and technologies for 3 billion people, to expand the use of renewable energy beyond the electricity sector, and to increase electrification in sub-Saharan Africa... <image:title>UN Goal #11: Sustainable Cities and Communities - UN Goal #11: Sustainable Cities and Communities</image:title>
<image:caption>There needs to be a future in which cities provide opportunities for all, with access to basic services, energy, housing, transportation and more. The world is becoming increasingly urbanized. Since 2007, more than half the world’s population has been living in cities, and that share is projected to rise to 60 per cent by 2030. Cities and metropolitan areas are powerhouses of economic growth—contributing about 60 per cent of global GDP. However, they also account for about 70 per cent of global carbon emissions and over 60 per cent of resource use. The impact of COVID-19 will be most devastating in poor and densely populated urban areas, especially for the one billion people living in informal settlements and slums worldwide, where overcrowding also makes it difficult to follow recommended measures such as social distancing and self-isolation. Primary Goal: By 2030, ensure access for all to adequate, safe and affordable housing and basic services and upgrade slums Website: UN Goal #11: Sustainable Cities and Communities To all Members, Friends and Sponsors, please feel free to submit current efforts you are pursuing in this area, so that we may highlight your efforts, and assist in helping you achieve even greater results by Bringing together passionate people, resources and opportunities to build better tomorrows.</image:caption>

<image:title>UN Goal #12: Responsible Consumption and Production - UN Goal #12: Responsible Consumption and Production</image:title>
<image:caption>Responsible Production and Consumption Economic and social progress over the last century has been accompanied by environmental degradation that is endangering the very systems on which our future development — indeed, our very survival — depends. A few facts and figures: Each year, an estimated one third of all food produced – equivalent to 1.3 billion tonnes worth around $1 trillion – ends up rotting in the bins of consumers and retailers, or spoiling due to poor transportation and harvesting practices. If people worldwide switched to energy efficient light bulbs the world would save US$120 billion annually. Should the global population reach 9.6 billion by 2050, the equivalent of almost three planets could be required to provide the natural resources needed to sustain current lifestyles. Primary Goal: Implement the 10-year framework of programmes on sustainable consumption and production, all countries taking action, with developed countries taking the lead, taking into account the development and capabilities of developing countries Website: UN Goal #12: Responsible Consumption and Production To all Members, Friends and Sponsors, please feel free to submit current efforts you are pursuing in this area, so that we may highlight your efforts, and assist in helping you achieve even greater results by Bringing together passionate people, resources and opportunities to build better tomorrows.</image:caption>

      <image:title>UN Goal #2 Zero Hunger - UN Goal #2: Zero Hunger</image:title>
<image:caption>The food and agriculture sector offers key solutions for development, and is central for hunger and poverty eradication. According to the World Food Programme, 135 million suffer from acute hunger largely due to man-made conflicts, climate change and economic downturns. The COVID-19 pandemic could now double that number, putting an additional 130 million people at risk of suffering acute hunger by the end of 2020. With more than a quarter of a billion people potentially at the brink of starvation, swift action needs to be taken to provide food and humanitarian relief to the most at-risk regions. Primary Goal: By 2030, end hunger and ensure access by all people, in particular the poor and people in vulnerable situations, including infants, to safe, nutritious and sufficient food all year round. <image:title>AGENDA FOR 2030 REPORT CARD - UN Agenda for 2030 Report Card (2019)</image:title>
<image:caption>As Member States recognized at the SDG Summit held last September, global efforts to date have been insufficient to deliver the change we need, jeopardizing the Agenda’s promise to current and future generations. Now, due to COVID-19, an unprecedented health, economic and social crisis is threatening lives and livelihoods, making the achievement of Goals even more challenging.” – UN Secretary-General António Guterres. Selected Key Findings: An estimated 71 million people are expected to be pushed back into extreme poverty in 2020, the first rise in global poverty since 1998. School closures have kept 90 per cent of students worldwide (1.57 billion) out of school and caused over 370 million children to miss out on school meals they depend on. The report also shows that climate change is still occurring much faster than anticipated. The year 2019 was the second warmest on record and the end of the warmest decade of 2010 to 2019. Meanwhile, ocean acidification is accelerating; land degradation continues; massive numbers of species are at risk of extinction; and unsustainable consumption and production patterns remain pervasive. <image:caption>Sustainable economic growth will require societies to create the conditions that allow people to have quality jobs. COVID-19 has disrupted billions of lives and endangered the global economy. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) expects a global recession as bad as or worse than in 2009. As job losses escalate, the International Labor Organization estimates that nearly half of the global workforce is at risk of losing their livelihoods. Even before the outbreak of COVID-19, one in five countries – home to billions of people living in poverty – were likely to see per capita incomes stagnate or decline in 2020… Primary Goal: Sustain per capita economic growth in accordance with national circumstances and, in particular, at least 7 per cent gross domestic product growth per annum in the least developed countries Website: UN Goal #8: Decent Work and Economic Growth To all Members, Friends and Sponsors, please feel free to submit current efforts you are pursuing in this area, so that we may highlight your efforts, and assist in helping you achieve even greater results by Bringing together passionate people, resources and opportunities to build better tomorrows.</image:caption>

The number of people fleeing war, persecution and conflict exceeded 70 million in 2018, the highest level recorded by the UN refugee agency (UNHCR) in almost 70 years. <image:title>UN Goal #10: Reduced Inequalities - UN Goal #10: Reduced Inequalities</image:title>
<image:caption>To reduce inequalities, policies should be universal in principle, paying attention to the needs of disadvantaged and marginalized populations. Inequality within and among countries is a persistent cause for concern. Despite some positive signs toward reducing inequality in some dimensions, such as reducing relative income inequality in some countries and preferential trade status benefiting lower-income countries, inequality still persists. COVID-19 has deepened existing inequalities, hitting the poorest and most vulnerable communities the hardest. It has put a spotlight on economic inequalities and fragile social safety nets that leave vulnerable communities to bear the brunt of the crisis. At the same time, social, political and economic inequalities have amplified the impacts of the pandemic. On the economic front, the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly increased global unemployment and dramatically slashed workers’ incomes. Primary Goal: By 2030, progressively achieve and sustain income growth of the bottom 40 per cent of the population at a rate higher than the national average Website: UN Goal #10: Reduced Inequalities To all Members, Friends and Sponsors, please feel free to submit current efforts you are pursuing in this area, so that we may highlight your efforts, and assist in helping you achieve even greater results by Bringing together passionate people, resources and opportunities to build better tomorrows.</image:caption>

Ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being at all ages is essential to sustainable development. Currently, the world is facing a global health crisis unlike any other — COVID-19 is spreading human suffering, destabilizing the global economy and upending the lives of billions of people around the globe. Before the pandemic, major progress was made in improving the health of millions of people. Significant strides were made in increasing life expectancy and reducing some of the common killers associated with child and maternal mortality… Primary Goal: By 2030, reduce the global maternal mortality ratio to less than 70 per 100,000 live births. <image:caption>Careful management of this essential global resource is a key feature of a sustainable future. The ocean drives global systems that make the Earth habitable for humankind. Our rainwater, drinking water, weather, climate, coastlines, much of our food, and even the oxygen in the air we breathe, are all ultimately provided and regulated by the sea. Careful management of this essential global resource is a key feature of a sustainable future. However, at the current time, there is a continuous deterioration of coastal waters owing to pollution, and ocean acidification is having an adversarial effect on the functioning of ecosystems and biodiversity. This is also negatively impacting small scale fisheries. Saving our ocean must remain a priority. Marine biodiversity is critical to the health of people and our planet. Marine protected areas need to be effectively managed and well-resourced and regulations need to be put in place to reduce overfishing, marine pollution and ocean acidification. Primary Goal: By 2025, prevent and significantly reduce marine pollution of all kinds, in particular from land-based activities, including marine debris and nutrient pollution Website: UN Goal #14: Life Below Water To all Members, Friends and Sponsors, please feel free to submit current efforts you are pursuing in this area, so that we may highlight your efforts, and assist in helping you achieve even greater results by Bringing together passionate people, resources and opportunities to build better tomorrows.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, halt and reverse land degradation, halt biodiversity loss. Nature is critical to our survival: nature provides us with our oxygen, regulates our weather patterns, pollinates our crops, produces our food, feed and fibre. But it is under increasing stress. Human activity has altered almost 75 per cent of the earth’s surface, squeezing wildlife and nature into an ever-smaller corner of the planet. Around 1 million animal and plant species are threatened with extinction – many within decades – according to the 2019 Global Assessment Report on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Service. The report called for transformative changes to restore and protect nature. It found that the health of ecosystems on which we and all other species depend is deteriorating more rapidly than ever, affecting the very foundations of our economies, livelihoods, food security, health and quality of life worldwide. Primary Goal: By 2020, ensure the conservation, restoration and sustainable use of terrestrial and inland freshwater ecosystems and their services, in particular forests, wetlands, mountains and drylands, in line with obligations under international agreements Website: UN Goal #15: Life on Land To all Members, Friends and Sponsors, please feel free to submit current efforts you are pursuing in this area, so that we may highlight your efforts, and assist in helping you achieve even greater results by Bringing together passionate people, resources and opportunities to build better tomorrows.</image:caption>

A successful development agenda requires inclusive partnerships — at the global, regional, national and local levels — built upon principles and values, and upon a shared vision and shared goals placing people and the planet at the centre. Many countries require Official Development Assistance to encourage growth and trade. Yet, aid levels are falling and donor countries have not lived up to their pledge to ramp up development finance. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the global economy is projected to contract sharply, by 3 per cent, in 2020, experiencing its worst recession since the Great Depression… Primary Goal: Strengthen domestic resource mobilization, including through international support to developing countries, to improve domestic capacity for tax and other revenue collection Website: UN Goal #17: Partnerships for the Goals To all Members, Friends and Sponsors, please feel free to submit current efforts you are pursuing in this area, so that we may highlight your efforts, and assist in helping you achieve even greater results by Bringing together passionate people, resources and opportunities to build better tomorrows.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Climate change is a global challenge that affects everyone, everywhere. 2019 was the second warmest year on record and the end of the warmest decade (2010- 2019) ever recorded. Carbon dioxide (CO2) levels and other greenhouse gases in the atmosphere rose to new records in 2019. Climate change is affecting every country on every continent. It is disrupting national economies and affecting lives. Weather patterns are changing, sea levels are rising, and weather events are becoming more extreme. Although greenhouse gas emissions are projected to drop about 6 per cent in 2020 due to travel bans and economic slowdowns resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, this improvement is only temporary. Climate change is not on pause. Once the global economy begins to recover from the pandemic, emissions are expected to return to higher levels. <image:title>UN Goal #4: Quality Education - UN Goal #4: Quality Education</image:title>
<image:caption>Obtaining a quality education is the foundation to improving people’s lives and sustainable development. Education enables upward socioeconomic mobility and is a key to escaping poverty. Over the past decade, major progress was made towards increasing access to education and school enrollment rates at all levels, particularly for girls. Nevertheless, about 260 million children were still out of school in 2018 — nearly one fifth of the global population in that age group. And more than half of all children and adolescents worldwide are not meeting minimum proficiency standards in reading and mathematics. In 2020, as the COVID-19 pandemic spread across the globe, a majority of countries announced the temporary closure of schools, impacting more than 91 per cent of students worldwide. By April 2020, close to 1.6 billion children and youth were out of school. And nearly 369 million children who rely on school meals needed to look to other sources for daily nutrition… Primary Goal: By 2030, ensure that all girls and boys complete free, equitable and quality primary and secondary education leading to relevant and Goal-4 effective learning outcomes Website: UN Goal #4: Quality Education To all Members, Friends and Sponsors, please feel free to submit current efforts you are pursuing in this area, so that we may highlight your efforts, and assist in helping you achieve even greater results by Bringing together passionate people, resources and opportunities to build better tomorrows.</image:caption>

<image:caption>As COVID-19 spreads across the region, South Asia and Southeast Asia’s economic outlook is dire. South Asia As COVID-19 spreads across the region, South Asia’s economic outlook is dire. The region will likely experience its worst economic performance in the last 40 years, with temporary contractions in all eight countries. According to the latest Global Economic Prospects, GDP in the region is projected to contract by 2.7 percent in 2020 as pandemic mitigation measures hinder consumption and services activity and uncertainty about the course of the pandemic chills private investment. In India, growth is estimated to have slowed to 4.2 percent in FY 2019/20, which ended in March 2020. Output is projected to contract by 3.2 percent in FY 2020/21, when the impact of the pandemic will largely hit. Pakistan (-2.6 percent in FY 2019/20) and Afghanistan (-5.5 percent) are both projected to experience contractions, as mitigation measures are anticipated to weigh heavily on activity. Growth in Bangladesh (1.6 percent in FY 2019/20) and Nepal (1.8 percent in FY 2019/20) is expected to decelerate markedly due to pandemic-related disruptions including mitigation measures and sharp falls in exports and remittance inflows… Southeast Asia In their decades-long efforts to spur strong economic growth and significantly reduce poverty, countries in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) also successfully improved education and health outcomes for their people. Today, however, ASEAN’s average indicators on education, skills development, and health are below what is expected of its current income levels. These persistent gaps can undermine future growth and prosperity in the region. To thrive in the global economy, where new technologies will create industries that have yet to be imagined, and where the changing nature of work prizes higher-order skills, ASEAN countries will have to go back to basics – and invest in its children. <image:caption>What Makes A Company A Good Employer For Women? Presented by Dr. Katherine J. Klein In Partnership with Tri-State Human Resources Management September 5, 2019 A growing number of employers, business leaders, investors and HR practitioners are asking the question, “What makes a company a good employer for women?” Dr. Katherine J. Klein, colleague in the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, documented the barriers, biases, and limitations that women continue to experience in the workplace. The result is her ground-breaking study, Four for Women: A Framework for Evaluating Companies’ Impact on the Women They Employ, that promises to change the conversation about the workplace outcomes that matter most to women. Good employers for women, they show, knock down these barriers, biases, and limitations to create companies that really work for women – companies where women are well-represented at every level and in every unit of the company; companies where women are paid fairly and well; companies where women experience health and safety – not stress and harassment; companies where women are happy to work. And because these outcomes promote overall organizational excellence, companies that are good employers for women are also good employers for men. <image:caption>A Solution to Rural Poverty in West Africa? - The Impact of Value Chain Services to Smallholder Growers Dawn Hines, Co-Founder Aventura Investment Partners and President Wharton Alumni Social Impact Club, WASIC November 20, 2019 Aventura is an impact investor in West Africa, with a goal of investing to enable African farmers to move from subsistence to middle class income levels. Rural Poverty and flight to cities by young people in Africa is well known. Why is there is no future for them in their hometown villages? The reality in many parts of West Africa is that investment into agricultural technology and food value chain companies to serve small growers is nearly non-existent. Young people see the difficult and precarious lives of their parents and seek to escape. Value chain services include local supply of quality seeds and fertilizers, farm machinery services, food processing and cold storage. Investments in these key areas have been proven to have a dramatic impact on the lives of smallholder farmers — doubling or tripling their annual farm incomes. In West Africa, 60% of food produced is lost due to a lack of cold storage. With a new impact investment model, Aventura seeks to bring wealth to rural communities in West Africa, by bringing critical value chain services directly to the smallholder growers. <image:title>WASIC Goal Latin America and the Caribbean - WASIC Goal: Latin America and the Caribbean</image:title>
<image:caption>Social turmoil affected growth in parts of the region in 2019. This year, the entire region is suffering from low oil prices and the impact of the deadly novel coronavirus. Although most countries in the region have enforced measures to avoid contagion, the outbreaks have recently spread rapidly, and the economic impacts of nationwide business closures and mobility restrictions have been sudden and severe. Added to this are external shocks, which vary in impact from country to country. Demand from China and developed countries, curtailed by the pandemic, will fall dramatically, affecting commodities exporters in South America as well as exporters of manufactured goods and services in Central America and the Caribbean. Flight restrictions are already hitting the Caribbean’s tourism sector, a main source of income for many small island states… There are other challenges. The region’s countries do not have the fiscal space of developed countries. Indeed, some were facing financial crises before the COVID-19 outbreak. What’s more, high levels of informality make it hard to provide relief through tax deferrals and wage subsidies to many firms and households. This informality combined with the low levels of funds makes designing an adequate policy response all that much more crucial. The hardship from the crisis will be enormous for large segments of the population. Many households live hand to mouth. They do not have the resources to cope with the economic lockdowns and quarantines needed to contain the spread of the virus. Many workers are self-employed, and a raft of wage earners are paid under the table. Reaching these workers through financial transfers is more challenging than in formalized economies. Many households also depend on remittances, which are collapsing as shutdowns in host countries affect the incomes of migrants. <image:title>WASIC Goal Eliminate Systemic Racism - WASIC Goal: Eliminate Systemic Racism</image:title>
<image:caption>Systemic racism explained: Four dimensions of racism and how to be part of the solution. The CEO of Portland’s Center for Equity and Inclusion, Hanif Fazal, and the CEO of North Star Forward Consulting, Lillian Green, have dedicated their careers to empowering the community with an understanding of racism to create a more equitable future. Internalized racism refers to our own thoughts, feelings and actions, conscious and unconscious, as an individual. This racism exists in forms like believing negative racial stereotypes, denying services to someone based on the color of their skin, or denying racism even exists. Then there's interpersonal racism: acts of racism between one person and another. This is how most of us have been taught to see racism, Fazal said. It's about negative ways people treat one another: harassment, discrimination from a boss, a racist rant caught on a cell phone video. There's institutional racism, which some people use interchangeably with systemic racism, but Green makes a distinction. She says institutional racism in connected to the policies and practices that reinforce racists standards within a workplace or organization. This can be seen in discriminatory hiring practices, silencing of black voices in the boardroom, or a work culture that prioritizes a white point of view. That brings us to the main focus: systemic racism. This is how the other three dimensions are allowed thrive in society, both openly and in the shadows. “This is a type of racism that has been normalized in all the systems in which we engage in,” Green said. “When I think about systemic racism, I think about policies,” Fazal said. "I think about practices. I think about a culture that supports that racial arrangement." <image:caption>The COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak has set off the first recession in the Sub-Saharan Africa region in 25 years, with growth forecast between -2.1 and -5.1 in 2020, from a modest 2.4% in 2019. Volatility in the global environment due to COVID-19 pandemic, which is taking a heavy toll on human life and placing excessive pressure on health systems, continues to negatively impact Sub-Saharan Africa. Economic and social impacts are immense, costing the region between $37 and $79 billion in estimated output losses in 2020, reducing agricultural productivity, weakening supply chains, increasing trade tensions, limiting job prospects, and exacerbating political and regulatory uncertainty. With such formidable challenges, economic growth is expected to contract from 2.4% in 2019 to between -2.1 and -5.1% in 2020, sparking the region’s first recession in 25 years. A collapse in economic activity that results from the COVID-19 containment measures and macroeconomic instability will increase poverty and endanger lives and livelihoods. Household welfare is expected to be equally dramatic with welfare losses in the optimistic scenario projected to reach 7% in 2020, compared to a non-pandemic scenario… (source: The World Bank in Africa) North Africa (5 countries) is predominantly Arab and relatively more developed. Many residents identify more with the Middle East than they do with the larger part of the continent. ... But when it comes to an African identity, some sub-Saharan Africans (from 42 countries) believe they have more claim to the continent than their northern counterparts. <image:caption>Risks and Opportunities From Climate Change Arnaud Brohé, PhD, CEO CO2logic September 13, 2017 Today’s business leaders are requiring new forms of business valuation. Defining this value means crafting smart new metrics and financial instruments. With climate change being characterized by practically every World leader as a “defining issue of our era”, carbon accounting and finance are a vital tool in enabling organizations to measure, report and internalize their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. As the need to respond to the causes and impacts of climate change becomes increasingly urgent, emissions calculations and inventories are a vital first step towards mastering climatic risk and seizing sustainable opportunities. This webinar will share valuable research insights around this trend and go behind the scenes on a couple of leading case studies. <image:caption>Climate What's Gender Got To Do With It? A WASIC Webinar Connecting Climate & Gender, in the context of Economic & Social Activities Thursday, December 3, 2020 7 am PST | 10 am EST | 3 pm GMT | 4 pm CET | 5 pm SAS Individual Reflections on the Connections Between Gender, Climate, and Economic Activity Followed by Question and Answer Discussion - Total Run Time 90 Minutes Cyrille Arnould, Global Head, Energy & Environment European Investment Bank Suzanne Biegel, Catalyst at Large, Gender Smart Investment Summit Tracey Davies, Executive Director, Just Share SA Catherine Griffin, Managing Director, Good Company Ventures (Social Impact), ImpactableX Sheri Hinish, Founder, Supply Chain Queen Julia Kurnik, Director, Innovative Startups WWF Juan Carlos Pereira, Managing Partner, Add Value Management (Climate Smart Agriculture Fund) Emilio Sempris, Former Minister of Environment, Panama, Co-founder, Brundtland School Lauren Burnhill, Managing Director, One Planet Ventures, LLC - Executive Producer & Moderator The purpose of the webinar is to help us develop and refine our understanding of how Gender is relevant to the issue of Climate Change by placing both gender and climate into the context of economic activities, focusing on priority sectors such as Energy & Environment, Climate Adaptation & Indigenous Women, Agriculture, Supply Chains and Social Impact Investment & Analytics. The connections between gender and climate -- and between gender, climate and economic activity -- are not intuitive or obvious, yet they are quite real and very important. As a tool for better understanding the linkages that exist and the evolving state-of-play, we’ve asked eight different sector and thematic experts to take five minutes to reflect on how, in their own work, gender is relevant to climate and the extent to which these sustainable development goals (SDGs) are incorporated -- or are being incorporated! -- into that work. <image:caption>From the beginning, I’ve been driven by a desire to make the world a better place—taking on challenges, even when they seemed as daunting as giants on the horizon. At first, I believed marketing and sales could connect people with the right products and services, helping them lead better lives. But along the way, I discovered something deeper: the real need starts with our work. Too many people feel disconnected, unfulfilled, and uncertain about where they belong. They spend their days in jobs that drain them, wondering about their purpose and how they fit into the bigger picture. That realization led me to shift my focus—to Human Resources and volunteerism. Because when we help people find meaning in their work and empower them to contribute, we don’t just improve careers— WE TRANSFORM LIVES AND EXCEED ORGANIZATIONAL GOALS! Explore below to learn more about the journey and the impact.</image:caption>
