Ecofiltro’s immediate mission is to bring clean water sustainably to 1M rural families in Guatemala by the year 2025. Ecofiltro was named Social Entrepreneur of the Year in 2012 by the Schwab Foundation of Switzerland and in the same year won the Sustainable Brands Innovation Open in San Diego, California and the G20 Social Business Challenge in Los Cabos, Mexico. In 2014 they were named one of ten organizations in Latin America that have achieved high social impact using sustainable methods by New Ventures Mexico. Ecofiltro has delivered over 500,000 Ecofiltros products to date that have benefited over 2.5M people in Mexico and Central America. In 2020 they became a B Corp.
